C/V Mazie Grace
Named after my oldest daughter, the Mazie Grace is a proven Alaskan fishing machine. The 31ft Uniflite is a comfortable stable platform, ideal for fishing the calm or choppy waters of Alaska’s Inside Passage. The twin 400hp main inboard engines coupled with a 25hp autopilot equipped trolling motor provide fast travel and efficient fishing. The 11ft beam and low deadrise keep the MG stable while on anchor or trolling.

Its huge fishing deck offers tons of room for landing double, triple and even quad hookups of salmon, halibut and bottom fish. The comfortable, fully enclosed heated cabin is outfitted with a private stand-up head, commercial grade fishing electronics by Furuno, Garmin and Standard Horizon as well as all the safety equipment for assuring a fun and productive fishing adventure regardless of weather conditions.

Gear:
The Mazie Grace is outfitted with Shimano, Penn, Daiwa, and Cannon fishing gear. Throughout years of Southeast Alaska trials, I’ve found that these brands hold up and outperform the best.
For salmon I use Shimano downrigger rods and reels with Cannon Tournament Grade electric downriggers.
For Halibut, we'll use custom bent butt rods with Penn conventional or Daiwa electric reels.
Miscellaneous:
I’ll provide hot coffee, soft drinks and water as well as some snacks. There will be a drink cooler and ice for your use, so feel free to bring additional beverages and snacks.
Safety:
As a member of the Coast Guard 5-Star Safety program, the Mazie Grace is voluntarily inspected before each season. This includes reviewing all safety equipment and credentials, licensing and endorsements.
I hold a 6-Pack OUPV Captains License as well as CPR and First Aid certifications.
